About Us:

The Ecumenical Chaplaincy provides religious support and spiritual care for students, staff, faculty and alumni of Carleton University.

We are a “storefront” presence in the Tory Tunnel, near the Quad, the Library and the UniCentre, just downstairs from the Registrar's Office and the Student Academic Success Centre.

In addition to Tom Sherwood's office (T21), there is a Drop-In Centre (T20), the Quiet Room (T19), and a room for the Roman Catholic Chaplaincy.

We offer pastoral counselling; meditation, study and discussion groups; and guest speakers and workshops on a variety of theological, ethical and justice-related issues.

We can connect you with a student group or an off-campus group for an experience of community. We offer opportunities for learning about different world religions and enhancing your own spiritual practices. We provide personal counselling, helping you to call on your own spiritual resources for coping with life. We are here to help you deal with everyday stress and exceptional crises. We will journey with you as you develop your whole person: intellectual, social, physical and spiritual.
