Mandate
The Canada Dance Festival Society is a presenter of contemporary Canadian dance, a partner and a community player that facilitates the development of the art form, its artists and its appreciative audience.

Vision
The Canada Dance Festival celebrates the vitality of Canadian dance. 

Through creative partnerships, the Canada Dance Festival provides a national focus, inspiring artists, audiences, presenters, educators and funders to create contemporary excellence in dance culture. The Canada Dance Festival:

• Believes in the simultaneous development of the art form and appreciative audiences for it;
• Creates opportunities for advancements in dance practice and appreciation;
• Builds bridges between stakeholders of the dance community to inspire growth and achievement;
• Collaborates with its community to develop strategic capabilities that contribute to the vitality of the art form and the vibrancy of Canadian dance culture.
