About Bethany

Welcome to Bethany Baptist Church, a diverse congregation of about 140 active members coming from some twenty different nations around our globe. Being as diverse as we are, this is an interesting place to be. All sorts of ideas are birthed and when possible given room to grow into programs and ministries. Because we are not a large, multi-staffed congregation, we depend on volunteers to offer leadership for most of our programs. As a result ministries are made available as volunteers are found to staff and lead these.

In addition to morning worship at 10:00 on Sunday mornings, which blends both traditional and contemporary expressions, we offer church school and nursery for children during worship and for teens and adults after worship. We are currently exploring groups for children during the week. We have a youth group for teens, which meets on Friday nights. We offer some small group study opportunities from time to time, often on Sunday evenings. There is a women’s ministry, Bethany Baptist Women which meets on the second Tuesday evenings of each month, and a men’s group, Bethany Baptist Men, which meets for breakfast on the first Saturday mornings of each month. The Bethany Seniors meet on the third Saturday evening of each month for a potluck supper and fellowship time. The Greening Group takes care of the lawns and gardens around the property. An independent but related "Befriending The Earth Group" often meets in our building to learn about ecological care of the world from a spiritual perspective. On the last Saturday evening of each month a travelogue program called "World Views" is offered.
