Africare was founded on October 20th, 2004 in Ottawa, Canada. Its founders' vision was to create a charitable organization committed to using 100% of the donations we receive to fund our projects! What makes our organization so special is that we are run entirely by the support of volunteers and any administration costs are born by the founders themselves! That's charity the way it was meant to be! This way, we can assure our donors that 100% of the donations received go to help those for whom they are intended! The charity has no official religious affiliation, but operates based on the underlying ethical concepts through which all major religions are formed. Africare was conceived by a family who's passion for travel led them witness some of the great inequalities of the world and were compelled to take action!
